Gor Half-Horn 2nd

Tried to do some WIP pics wuring painting,...
normally really hard cause I fall into a kind of painting stupor...

Tried to take pics of the colours as well and the different stages, sadly there are no details on the chainsword hazard stripes, did that in one go...

I started with priming him black, Stormvermin Fur, Skull White...on top of that a light drybrush with Ulthuan Grey

Applying main colours, thinned with water on  a wet palette....

Several layers depending on how strong the tone should be...

 

Folowed by drybrushing some more....

After that several layers of washes, pigments on the base...

Sometime in between the chainsword....

Finally applying Satin varnish  and antishine to differentiate the materials... and a final very very light drybrush with celestra grey

adding several colours to the pallette on the go....

The awesome community of the Inquisitorium started me up on this conversion...
went a bit beside the road to the FW model.

After adding a some more colour and contrast on the models (with paint, not through adigital filter ;)  ) I experimented with different backdrops and angles,... picking the 3 best shots from all I made so far will be very difficult...

The month is nearing it's end and painting progress on my entry is well on it's way.
Still have to tune the five guys a bit so that they pop more out of the background,...
